A Secret Love for Skateboards

A skateboard is the best spot to get up on, shit always looks awesome and is such an iconic shape, very durable so no one can fuck with it and it has the right amount of space to express your art well at least for me. About 80% of the skateboards that I had made had been for charities I think that's the main reason why I really like the skateboards.

I don't paint for fame, money, or to be an artist well yes we all need food, shelter, to feel wanted in order to stay alive that will never change for anyone so I do have to find my own way to make what I create into a desirable work of art, but the real reason I paint is because painting keeps me mentally sane is a release from all the madness from this world, my mind hunts me day and night with useless thoughts provided by everyday stupidity that happens in this world and not being able to do anything about it day in and day out, Painting allows me to create my very own world a world not to live in but to just leave all this thoughts and no one would mind or hurt anyone, it would do the opposite making some wonder, smile, excite, and maybe push to a better day just maybe.

The original painting for this image was George Washington by Rembrandt Peale, De Young Museum (ca. 1850), I didn't want to recreate the same image and in no way I can match the perfect style of Rembrandt, I just wanted to show case a ultimate rebel a rebel that changed history just by saying "no I don't think I want to fucking do that, I'm tired of your shit" and fighting, well we don't know that he said it like that!?, Sometimes you just have to exercise rebellion, to go against all odds to live life and your dreams.
